David A. Geier graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a BA in biology and a minor in history. He has undertook graduate studies in the fields of immunology, epidemiology, biochemistry, infectious diseases, and vaccines from the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences, Inc (FAES) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD and the George Washington University (GWU), Washington, DC. Mr. Geier has authored nearly 200 studies in peer-reviewed scientific/medical journals, medical textbook chapters, and other publications. Mr. Geier was invited to address the the Institute of Medicine of the US National Academy of Sciences on several occasions. Mr. Geier was also an accredited participant in the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee meetings of the United Nations Environmental Programme on helping to prepare a global legally binding instrument on mercury, the “Minimata Convention on Mercury”. Mr. Geier is currently the director of the nonprofit 501(c)3 Institute of Chronic Illnesses, Inc.
